After moving from sunny Key West to the rainy hills of Oregon, Anna’s creative process took an unexpected and delightful turn. From questioning the purpose of art in her dimly lit studio, she began her DotNut series, sculpting 52 beautifully colorful donuts that emulate Hirst’s famous dot paintings—but with a fun, edible twist. Her work doesn’t just explore joy, but how art and culture feed each other, both literally and figuratively. And with her Yummy Bears, she raises playful questions about what it means to consume in today’s world.
